  Australia’s leading real time online debit payment method further strengthens its security having completed its first crowd sourced testing.

  POLi Payments, the Australian owned e-commerce company, has just completed its first crowd sourced security test. Bugcrowd managed the process whereby 335 ‘hackers’ in 23 countries tried to find vulnerabilities in the POLi Payments system.

  POLi is pleased to announce that no significant vulnerabilities were found.

  "We were extremely pleased with the testing organised by bugcrowd. Without bugcrowd there is no way we or 'traditional' security consultancies could have arranged 335 hackers to take part in such an organised process.   POLi has responded to merchant and customer demand and is proud to announce that POLi now operates with the mobile versions of internet banking. This provides a greatly improved user experience for customers on smart phones or tablets. At launch the service is operational with nine banks within Australia and covers mainstream browsers on Android and Apple devices.

  BNZ bank has released a security advisory re POLi. POLi Payments wishes to advise customers that we have met with BNZ and are currently working through a process with them to share our security credentials. We expect this to be complete by the end of March at which time we would hope that their advisory is either removed or updated.
